Electrical Apprenticeship Program


Administered through: The Electrical Training Alliance of Central Florida and the Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee.  The program is registered with the Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training, U.S. Department of Labor, and Veterans Administration.  

Program Length: The Electrical Program is a five (5) year program, usually completed in four (4) years.  The Apprentices attend classes year-round, with two breaks (winter break and summer break).  After successfully completing the program, the Apprentices are eligible to apply for Journey Person positions throughout Walt Disney World Engineering Services.

Cost: Textbooks, which is approximately $700.00 to $1000.00 per year.

Start Date: The program typically hosts two to three First Year classes each year.

Application Process: Provide reliable documentation for proof of age (minimum of 17 years of age).  Provide documentation of being a high school graduate, or having a GED, or having a two-year Associate Degree or higher.  Provide an official transcript for high school and post high school education and training.  All GED records must be submitted if applicable.  Provide evidence of successful completion of one full year high school algebra with a passing grade, or one post high school algebra course with a passing grade.  Applicants must take an aptitude exam with a focus on math and reading skills.  Applications available online.  If you have any questions regarding the application process, you may call the Electrical Training Alliance of Central Florida at 407-678-3733.  Additional information can be found on their web site: www.etacfl.org

Desired Qualifications: 



Program Requirements: 

1st and 2nd year apprenticeship properties to include Resorts and Sub Regional Crews but could include additional locations.

3rd and 4th year apprenticeship properties to include Theme Parks, Regional Crews and Facilities Services but could include additional locations.

- Will perform a variety of roles while training on-the-job (room calls, preventative and corrective maintenance work).


Pay structure:



The rates mentioned above are in effect from 09/29/2024 –09/27/2025.
